Where the Lonely Reside came about when Steve Bowling brought some of his countryesque tunes to his current rock band, Red Idle. The members of Red Idle rejected the tunes as "too country", so Bowling and guitarist Steve Sigsbee chose to record a new CD and release the tunes under the tongue-in-cheek band name Red Idle Rejects.
