The Red Idle Rejects formed in 2014 when Steve Bowling brought his country-flavored tunes to his band-mates in Red Idle, who deemed the tunes "too country". Bowling formed a new band to play those tunes, giving it the tongue-in-cheek new band name. The bab has played in the greater Cincinnati region, throughout Kentucky and down to Florida since.
